WORCESTER COUNTY, Md.- Police are investigating burglaries that have occurred at three golf courses in Worcester County during the past week.
The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation said the incidents have occurred at the Deer Run Golf Course, Bay Shores Golf Course and Nassawango Country Club.
Police said the suspect in this case is specifically targeting the club buildings of the golf courses and has been breaking inside them once the businesses have closed for the day.
According to police, detectives have been able to link all of these cases together because of several very unique methods that the suspect employs while committing the crimes.
All of the golf courses in Worcester County have been notified and directed to take specific cautions because of these events, police said. Investigators noted that local law enforcement agencies have also increased their presence in the area of these businesses.
Authorities would like to request that the public pay special attention to area golf courses and immediately report anything suspicious to their local law enforcement agencies.
Anyone with information about any of these burglaries is asked to contact the WCBI at (410) 352-3476.
