DOVER, Del.- Those for traditional marriage had their day at Chick-fil-A last Wednesday. Then on Friday, it was time for those who support same-sex marriage.
A line of cars snaked around the Chick-fil-A in Camden during the lunch rush. But the usual mid-day crowd saw the addition of an attempted kiss-in, customers in support of same-sex marriage.
"I'm happy to have everybody out here you know in support because I'm actually gay myself, so therefore I believe in equal rights," said Russell Terry of Middletown.
The support continued at the Chick-fil-A in North Dover.
"Everybody has a right to live the way they want to live, and if that's their choice then what does this restaurant have any reason to interfere with it," said Cheryl Arsonault of Dover.
A possible kiss-in didn't stop customers who don't support same sex marriage from going to Chick-fil-A for lunch.
"I'm in favor of marriage, one woman, one man," said Fred Ernst. "But I'm also in favor freedom of speech and my freedoms should not be infringed upon by some other people."
Victoria Lynch siad the fast food chain is being unfairly singled out for its views.
"No voice should be shut up, including Chick Fil A, which by the way, I myself am a conservative and I hate the bullying tactics that I have seen," Lynch said.
