4 Struck by Lightning in Delaware


WILMIINGTON, Del. (AP)- New Castle County emergency officials say four people have been struck by lightning outside an apartment complex.

Paramedics treated two adults and two children for minor injuries and transported them to Christiana Hospital, where they were admitted. Emergency officials say the four were under a tree at the Cranston Hall Apartments in the 3300 block of Old Capital Trail when lightning struck about 4 p.m. Friday.

New Castle County officials says a 30-year-old male, 28-year-old female, 7-year-old male and 1-year-old male were struck.
