Desiree TaylorWESTOVER, Md.– Police say two suspects were arrested Saturday unstamped cigarettes and weapons were found inside their car.
According to the Somerset County Sheriff's Office, the arrests were the result of a traffic stop conducted by deputies on Ocean Highway near Revels Neck Road in Westover. The suspects were later identified as Ronnie Johnson, 55, and Desiree Taylor, 46, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.
During the stop, deputies reportedly found 50 cartons of unstamped cigarettes, a large amount of cash, three pairs of brass knuckles and a stun gun. Johnson and Taylor have been charged with speeding, possession of untaxed cigarettes, and possession of deadly weapons.
Both suspects were held on $15,000 bond and later released.
