FRANKFORD, Del.– Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect believed to have defrauded an 80-year-old woman out of money.

Authorities say the suspect knocked on the door of a home in the 30000 block of Pyle Center Road in Frankford on July 19 and offered to sealcoat the driveway. The victim reportedly refused initially but eventually agreed.

Investigators said the suspect then told her he would need money up front, and followed the woman to the bank where she withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then reportedly took the money out of her hand and drove off in a white pickup truck.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years of age, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, weighing between 150-200 pounds, and wearing an orange T-shirt and blue jeans. He also reportedly has tattoos on both arms and the back of his neck.

Police say the man is possibly operating a two-tone white and tan Ford pickup truck.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact DSP Troop 4 at (302) 856-5850, ext. 386. Tips can also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or online at www.tipsubmit.com. The public can also send text messages with the keyword "DSP" to 274637.
