SALISBURY, Md.- Maryland Deputy State Fire Marshals are investigating two fires that happened within three hours of each other Friday night in Salisbury.
The first fire was in the living room of a first floor apartment on Poplar Street.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within twenty minutes. The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
The second fire was in the kitchen of a home on South Division Street.
Twenty-five Firefighters responded and controlled the fire within minutes.
Officials said the fire started when the homeowner fell asleep while baking french fries in the oven.
Smoke detectors went off, alerting both homeowners.
