AMELIA, Va. (AP)- Virginia State Police are investigating the death of a teenager who was hit by a train in Amelia County.

State police tell media outlets that the 19-year-old male was lying on the tracks near Goodes Bridge Road when a Norfolk & Southern train hit him Saturday morning.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
