Wilmington Sees 19th Homicide This Year - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been shot and killed on Wilmington's east side, the city's 19th homicide this year.

Police say the man was found in the 2100 block of North Spruce Street about 12:30 a.m. Friday. Authorities say the man was found sitting in the street next to a parked vehicle. He was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He has not been identified.

The city has seen six more homicides than it did during the same time period last year and four more than during the same time period in 2010, the year the city saw a record 27 homicides.
