DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested a woman for driving under the influence of drugs after the SUV she was driving left the road and crashed into a Dover house.

The incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. Monday on Leslie Drive. Troopers said 55-year-old Cynthia A. Bargellini of Felton was traveling on DuPont Highway south of Lochmeath Way when her Jeep Cherokee left the road, struck several concrete parking blocks and landscaping before it crashed into the bedroom of a house where a 22-year-old man and his 28-year-old girlfriend were sleeping.

Police said Bargellini and her two young grandchildren, who were passengers in the vehicle, were taken to Kent General Hospital where they were treated and released. The two occupants of the house were slightly injured but declined treatment, according to investigators.

Bargellini is also charged with failure to maintain lane of travel, four counts of vehicular assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She was released on $7,050 unsecured bail.
