








Officer Adrian MorrisANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP/WBOC)- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley has ordered that the state flag be immediately lowered to half staff to honor a police officer killed in the line of duty.
O'Malley issued the order Tuesday in honor of Officer Adrian Morris with the Prince George's County Police Department. Morris died Monday on I-95 in a cruiser pursuing a car believed to have been involved in a theft.
Morris, 23, had served with the Prince George's County Police Department for 2-and-a-half years and had previously served as an Explorer with the department.
The flag is to remain lowered until sunset on the day of Morris' burial.
