QUEEN ANNE, Md.- Maryland State Police said Saturday charges are pending in a fatal early morning crash that shut down roadways for two hours in Talbot County.

According to MSP, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash just before 1 a.m. Saturday at westbound Route 404 and Newtown Road in Queen Anne.

Police said the crash resulted when a 17-year-old Chestertown female, operating a dark green GMC Envoy, failed to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic while entering the highway from Newtown Road. Police said the SUV then crossed the path of a car driven by Robert Robey, 75, of Charles County.

According to police, his 69-year-old passenger, Grace Robey, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Robert Robey, the SUV's driver and her two 17-year-old passengers were all flown from the scene to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious injuries.
