NEWARK, Del. (AP)- New Castle County police have arrested a man they say broke into a home, threatened the resident with a knife and forced him to leave the apartment.
Officers say about 5:20 p.m. Monday, a man entered an apartment in Newark through an unlocked patio door and confronted the victim. Police say the suspect displayed a knife and hit the victim in the head with it, causing a cut.
Authorities say the suspect forced the victim to leave the apartment. Detectives, after several interviews, where able to find where the victim was. The suspect was taken into custody.
Fifty-year-old Michael Glasper of Newark has been charged with home invasion with intent to commit a violent felony, assault and other offenses. He is being held on $52,000 secured bail.
