DELMAR, Md.- Organizers at the Amphitheater at Heron Ponds told WBOC they are hoping to reschedule Saturday's canceled concert. Around 2,000 tickets had been sold for the venue's debut concert with country artist Kellie Pickler when heavy rain forced organizers to cancel the event.
Doug Marshall, the owner of the Heron Ponds development, said canceling the concert was the hardest business decision he has ever made.
"We're not used to inclement weather where you have 3,000 to 4,000 people in line to come in," Marshall said. "This is not the kind of turnout you want to see in the business world. I'm hoping it's only up from here."
Marshall told WBOC tickets are non-refundable, but they're hoping to reschedule Kellie Pickler in concert-- honoring tickets they have already sold.
