DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for three suspects wanted for holding up the Dollar General store in southeast Dover early Thursday evening.

Police said the incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., as a 44-year-old female employee and a 19-year-old female employee were preparing to close the Dollar General located in the Gateway South Shopping Center off of East Lebanon Road. Troopers said that is when three male suspects entered the store with their faces concealed; one was armed with a handgun and the other with a knife.

Investigators said one of the suspects confronted the 44-year-old employee at the counter and demanded money while another went to the back of the store and forced the 19-year-old employee to the front. The victims complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.   All three suspects then fled the store and got into a dark passenger car and fled the area in an unknown direction. The employees were not injured in this incident, police said.

The three suspects were described to troopers as black, between 17 and 20 years of age and with their faces partially covered.
