Neil PrescottUPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP)- A judge has ordered GPS monitoring for a Maryland man accused of calling himself a "joker" while phoning in a threat to his workplace.
The judge also barred Neil Prescott from any access to guns during a hearing Thursday in Prince George's County Mental Health Court. Prescott has been receiving outpatient mental health treatment for the past week.
He's been charged with using a telephone to make threats. Police say Prescott threatened on July 27 to load his guns and shoot up his workplace. Police recovered about two dozen weapons and ammunition in his Crofton apartment.
Prescott's attorney, William Brennan, gave the judge a report from a social worker and a doctor that found Prescott was "not a danger."
