George JohnsonGEORGETOWN, Del.- Authorities are looking for a convict who escaped from a Sussex County work crew on Friday afternoon.
Authorities said 50-year-old George Johnson, with a last known address of Seaford, ran away from the crew shortly after 1 p.m. while still on the grounds of the Sussex Community Corrections Center.
He is described as black, 5-foot-9 and 155 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, a mustache a goatee, and tattoos on his right arm and hand. He was last seen wearing a blue Department of Corrections uniform, brown boots and a white T-shirt.
Johnson was serving a 2-year sentence at SCCC for violation of probation on an original charge of third-degree burglary.
