Excused Absences Allowed for Non-Air-Conditioned Wicomico Students

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md.- Parents of students attending non-air-conditioned public schools in Wicomico County may keep their child home as an excused absence if the forecasted temperature for that day is 85 degrees or higher.

Schools affected by this announcement are Bennett Middle, West Salisbury Elementary, East Salisbury Elementary, and portions of Pittsville Elementary and Middle, according to a spokeperson for Wicomico County Public Schools.
