Milford Man Arrested on Child Sex Charges

MILFORD, Del.- A Milford man is behind bars following accusations that he sexually abused a child over a year's time.

Hakeem J. Bryant, 24, was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a child, continuous sexual abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

Milford police said Bryant's arrest stemmed from incidents that occurred from August 2011 through August 2012 at a home at the Valley Run Apartment complex. During the investigation detectives saod tjeu discovered that Bryant had forced the 6-year-old female victim to perform sexual acts with him for over a period of a year.

Bryant is being held in the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $180,000 cash bond.
