CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Dorchester County has received a $92,852 Federal Aviation Administration grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation for the Cambridge-Dorchester Airport.
U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski announced the grant on Friday.
The grant will be used to combat the detrimental effects of storm water runoff and remove objects obstructing a potential extension of the taxiway.
Officials said the grant will allow the airport to plan for future needs by updating its master plan. The grant will also ensure that the airport is in compliance with environmental standards and FAA safety guidelines.
