MILLSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of the Millsboro VFW.
Troopers said that at around 2:30 a.m. they responded to a report of a large disorderly crowd with shots fired. The investigation revealed that a fight occurred inside the VFW, which was being rented for a private party, and continued into the parking lot when an unidentified suspect produced an unknown type gun and fired several rounds, striking a 24-year-old man multiple times in the upper body.
Friends helped take the victim to a nearby a hospital until an ambulance met them on their way. The victim was admitted in serious condition.
