Woman Found Dead in Del. Apartment

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP)- New Castle County Police say a woman who was found dead in her New Castle apartment was slain.

Authorities were called to the Pine Valley Apartments about 12:30 a.m. Monday and found 26-year-old Ashleigh Close's body.

An investigation is under way. Close's body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office to determine cause and manner of death.
