SALISBURY, Md.- Some public works employees on Monday night asked the Salisbury City Council for what they are calling long overdue raises.
Employees said they have not received a pay hike in several years. Some said they had their hours cut and took furlough days. The workers believe they are being ignored and overlooked.
This comes on the heels of the council agreeing to the city police department's request for additional funding to retain and recruit officers.
The council has not yet commented on this latest issue.
