Staton Wins Del. Democratic Primary for District 6 Seat

Andrew Staton

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- Andrew Staton has won the Democratic primary for the newly-created 6th District Senate seat, beating challengers Robert Frederick and Micheal Miller.

With 17 out of 17 precincts reporting, Staton garnered 2,088 votes, compared to 814 votes for Frederick and 695 for Miller.

District 19 encompasses the Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Milton and surrounding areas in Sussex County.

Staton will face off against Republican challenger Ernesto Lopez in the November general election.
