Delmar Man Found Guilty of First-Degree Murder

DELMAR, Md.- A Delmar, Del., man has been found guilty of murder in connection with a fatal March shooting that occurred on the town's Maryland side.

Prosecutors said Randy Clayton, 26, shot and killed Euric C. George at the Chestnut Manner Apartments on East Chestnut Street. 

On March 1, multiple gunshots were heard at Chestnut Manor, several neighbors found George unresponsive in the parking lot. George died as a result of his injuries at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

A Wicomico County jury found Clayton guilty of first-degree murder and possession of a handgun.

Prosecutors said they will seek the maximum sentence of life without parole in Wicomico County.
