MARSHALLTON, Del. (AP)- Delaware state fire officials say a blaze at a Marshallton apartment complex this week was a case of arson.
Deputy Fire Marshal Robert Fox says the fire was reported about 11 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Clay Creek Apartments in the 2100 block of Grafton Drive. Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire pouring from a first-floor apartment. Fox says an investigation revealed that the fire had been set deliberately.
The building was vacant at the time of the fire and no one was injured.
Fox says damage was estimated at $250,000.
