YORK, Pa.– Wesley College's Devin Price has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time in her career that she has been selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week.
A sophomore from Milton, Del., Price scored three goals and added two assists as the Wolverines earned a pair of victories last week. In an overtime loss to #15 Haverford, Price assisted on a goal that put the Wolverines on top 1-0. Two days later, the five-foot-four forward scored twice and added an assist to help Wesley to a 5-1 victory at previously unbeaten Cedar Crest. Price closed out the week with a goal in a 3-2 win over William Paterson on Sunday afternoon.
For the season, Price ranks second on the squad in goals (four), assists (two) and points (10).
Price and the Wolverines (4-3) return to action on Thursday, Sept. 20, when they travel to face Lynchburg in a neutral site game at the University of Mary Washington at 5 pm.
