Delaware Braces for Severe Weather

DOVER, Del. (AP)- The threat of severe storms prompted several schools in Delaware- including Sussex Tech in Georgetown- to cancel after-school activities.
 
Delmarva Power said it was preparing for high winds and heavy rain to sweep across the region Tuesday evening.
 
The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for much of Delaware through 7 p.m. Tuesday. High wind advisories were in effect through midnight.
