BALTIMORE- A federal judge on Tuesday sentenced a convicted Salisbury drug dealer to more than 12 years behind bars.
Tereek Nutter, 29, was given 151 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute more than 5 kilograms of cocaine and a quantity of cocaine base.
According to his plea agreement, from May to June 2011, law enforcement overheard phone conversations in which Nutter arranged for several purchases of up to a kilogram of cocaine at a time from a conspirator. Court records show Nutter agreed to pay up to $35,000 for each kilogram of cocaine.
Prosecutors said that on June 29, 2011, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Nutter's home and seized $3,800; a loaded, stolen firearm; ammunition; 10.8 grams of cocaine base; and 1.8 grams of cocaine.
Nutter was arrested on Sept. 9, 2011, at another home in Salisbury where authorities said they seized more than 300 grams of cocaine, a scale, a loaded firearm and $3,000 from that home.
