WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- The Wilmington City Council has approved three grants to the police department.
A state grant of more than $190,000 will fund overtime for Operation Bedtime, a juvenile curfew center initiative, and preventative overtime.
A nearly $29,000 grant from the Delaware Criminal Justice Council will pay for overtime for investigations into gang-related activity.
And a $15,000 grant from the same council will pay for a domestic violence administrative assistant. That grant requires a local $5,000 match.
The City Council approved the grants on Thursday.
