Bomb Threat Forces Berlin Wal-Mart Evacuation

BERLIN, Md.- Maryland State Police responded to the Berlin Wal-Mart on Monday night for a bomb threat. 

Troopers said that the help of Worcester County Sheriff's Office, the Ocean City Police Department, and the Berlin Police Department, the store was evacuated.

Police used K-9 dogs from the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, along with members of the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office, to search the building and eventually declare it safe.

A criminal investigation is being conducted by the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation.  Anyone with information about the bomb threat is asked to contact the MSP Berlin Barracks at (410) 641-3101.
