GEORGETOWN, Del.- Sussex County students have the opportunity to earn some cash by guessing the outcomes of this year's general election.
Sussex County's Election Year Scholarship Contest is open to county residents age 18 and younger. Participants must predict the winners of 24 national, statewide and county elections on Nov. 6.
The student with the most correct guesses will receive a $200 scholarship; five runners-up will receive $100 scholarships.
The Sussex County Council created the contest for the 2000 election. The program is funded by councilmanic grants and the Moore & Rutt law firm.
