Fire Destroys Seaford Warehouse

SEAFORD, Del.- Authorities are investigating an early Wednesday fire that left a Seaford warehouse in ruins.

The blaze broke out at around 4:30 a.m. at the building located in the area of Harrington and Shipley streets.

The Seaford Fire Department responded to the scene and was assisted by the Blades, Bridgeville, Laurel and Sharptown (Md.) fire departments.  Upon arrival they encountered heavy fire.

The 50-foot by 150-foot storage building was not occupied at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.  Damages have been estimated at $200,000.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
