Man Charged in Cambridge Burglary Spree

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- A man is behind bars in connection with several break-ins in the Cambridge area.

According to Cambridge police, three homes were broken into in the month of September. Police said that after conducting crime scene searches and witness and suspect interviews, they were able to connect 31-year-old James Vincent Dockins with the crimes. 

Dockins was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, one count of second-degree burglary, one count of third-degree burglary, six counts of fourth-degree burglary and three counts of theft less than $1,000. He was ordered held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on $175,000 bond.

The investigation into these burglaries is continuing and more arrests are expected. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cambridge Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at (410) 228-3333.
