Delaware Schools Join in Cybersecurity Effort

NEWARK, Del. (AP)- The University of Delaware is joining with other institutions in an effort to train students in combatting cybersecurity threats.

Members of Delaware's congressional delegation were to gather Friday at UD to announce a grant from the National Science Foundation to help create a Regional Cybersecurity Education Initiative.

The initiative, aimed at creating a pipeline of graduates skilled in addressing cybersecurity threats in the U.S., will include the University of Delaware, Delaware Technical and Community College, and Harford Community College in Bel Air, Md.
