SEAFORD, Del.- Seaford police have arrested a man Wednesday, Sept. 26, in connection with an attempted robbery of the Party Corner liquor store on Norman Eskridge Highway.
Police said at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26, they responded to reports of a robbery at the Party Corner.
According to reports, a man entered the store and demanded money from an employee. The man punched the employee several times and fled after a patron entered the store.
Police said that they received a description of the man and were able to locate him a short distance away from the business.
Officers arrested 27-year-old David P. Giblin of Milford. Giblin was charged with attempted robbery, assault and terroristic threatening. He was committed to the Department of Corrections pending an arraignment at a later date due to intoxication.
Authorities said the employee did not require medical attention and no money was taken from the store.
