CAMDEN, Del.- Camden police on Friday announced the arrest of a suspect accused of holding up the Dunkin' Donuts on South DuPont Highway in late September.

Carlo J. Merillo, 33, was taken into custody at his Camden home and charged with first-degree robbery and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He is being held in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $102,500 secured bond.

The crime allegedly happened at around 10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Dunkin' Donuts on South DuPont Highway. Police said Merillo entered the Dunkin' Donuts with a handgun and announced the robbery. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash before running out of the business, according to police.

Merillo was identified as the suspect after investigators released video surveillance photos of him to the general public.
