DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware medical licensing board is holding a hearing regarding a doctor who was sentenced earlier this year to six years in prison on federal child pornography charges.

Monday's board hearing follows the decision by Delaware officials to temporarily suspend the license of Dr. Dan Joachim last year after learning of the child porn charges. Authorities in Louisiana, Virginia, Texas and Georgia also took action against Joachim after his arrest in 2010.

The 52-year-old Joachim, a resident of Metairie, La., pleaded guilty to receiving materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors. According to federal officials in Louisiana, he also pleaded guilty to health care billing fraud related to his work as medical director of Maryland-based Intra-Op Monitoring Services, which employed physicians to remotely monitor neurophysiological surgeries.
