Seventh Case of West Nile Reported in Delaware

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Health officials say a seventh case of West Nile virus has been confirmed in the state.

The Division of Public Health said Tuesday that the case was reported in the Middletown area. Officials say the case was mild and the patient's prognosis is good.

West Nile virus is transmitted by mosquitoes, usually from spring to fall. Symptoms of severe West Nile virus infection include headache, high fever, stiff neck and tremors and muscle weakness.
