Delaware Prison Inmate Dead in Apparent Suicide - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

DOVER, Del. (AP) - State prison officials say an inmate has died of injuries sustained in a suicide attempt.

Officials said 53-year-old Robert L. Hanulik of Newark died Monday, one day after he tried to kill himself at the Howard Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington.

Hanulik was being held in default of bail on six counts of first-degree robbery, four counts of attempted robbery, conspiracy and nine counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He had been in custody since Sept. 27.

Hanulik was arrested in connection with a series of liquor store, convenience store and gas station robberies.
