Del. Man Run Over, Killed by Tractor-Trailer

Posted:

CLAYTON, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Delaware State Police say a Clayton man was killed when he fell under a tractor-trailer in a driveway and was run over by the vehicle.

Troopers said 52-year-old Jerry L. Stanton was walking next to the 2000 Freightliner 999 tractor-trailer, which was moving in a private driveway off of Daisey Road just before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Officers said Stanton fell under the trailer.

Authorities said 37-year-old Kevin P. Isadorski of Clayton, who was operating the tractor-trailer, was unaware that Stanton had fallen under the vehicle. He continued driving until he hit Stanton, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say no charges are expected to be filed.
