Border Rivalry: Maryland Set for Game at Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - Virginia hopes a visit from a longtime rival will pull it out of its funk.

The Cavaliers (2-4, 0-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) have lost four straight, 3 of them decisively, and they play upstart Maryland on Saturday in a critical game for both programs.

It marks the start of the second half for Virginia. The Cavaliers finished 8-5 last season, went to their first bowl game since 2007 and know they need to stop waiting for things to go right and make them go right.

The Terrapins seem to have found some stability after a turbulent offseason and are atop the ACC's Atlantic Division standings

Not lost in all that's at stake Saturday as Maryland defensive lineman AJ Francis says, "they don't like us, and we don't like them."
