MILFORD, Del.- Police have announced the arrest of a Milford School District employee accused of stealing money from the district over a 3-month period.

Milford police said Frederic J. Snowden, 48, of Houston, Del., was taken into custody Friday and charged with theft: $1,500 or greater (a felony).

Snowden's arrest stemmed from multiple incidents that occurred at the Milford School District from May to July, according to police. They said detectives discovered that Snowden was an employee of the school district, and while Milford High School was being renovated, he failed to turn in to the school district undisclosed amounts of money that he obtained from construction salvages of waste material on numerous occasions.
