Thefts From Vehicles Reported in Kent County

Posted:

KENT COUNTY, Del.– Delaware State Police are investigating a recent series of thefts from vehicles across central and eastern Kent County.

Police said that in September and this month, an undetermined number of suspects rummaged through more than a dozen vehicles and stole everything from car audio equipment, GPS systems and cash.

According to police, because the vehicles were unlocked, no damage was done to them. It is also being reported that in most cases, the vehicles were parked in the victims' driveways.

Troopers are encouraging people to secure their vehicles and remove all valuables from them. People are also encouraged to report suspicious activity.

So far, police have no suspects in the case. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact DSP Troop 3 at (302) 697-4454 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.  Information may also be provided via www.tipsubmit.com. Send an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
