Wilbert L. PerkinsDAGSBORO, Del.- Delaware State Police are asking the public's help in locating a Dagsboro man accused of trying to strangle two people on two separate occasions in Sussex County.
Wilbert L. Perkins, 30, is wanted on a slew of charges, including second-degree burglary, two counts of strangulation, two counts of third-degree assault, terroristic threatening, two counts of theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief.
According to police, the first incident Perkins is wanted for happened on July 4, when he broke into a home located on the 30000 block of Moore Street in Holiday Acres near Frankford and began assaulting and choking a 27-year-old man. Investigators said the victim was able to free himself from Perkins' grip and run to a neighbor's house for help.
The second incident is repoirted to have occurred on Sept. 25, at a home on the 30000 block of Power Plant Road near Dagsboro. Police said that Perkins got into a fight with a 25-year-old woman and placed his foot on the victim's throat, which restricted her from breathing.
Perkins may possibly be in the southern Sussex County area, according to police. He is also wanted by the Millsboro Police Department for theft under $1,500, as well as an active capias out of Sussex County courts.
