ARLINGTON, Va. (AP)- It'll be an awkward basketball season for the Colonial Athletic Association.
Old Dominion and Georgia State are on their way out, leaving for other conferences at the end of the season. Accordingly, the CAA has said those two schools can't play in the conference tournament.
Georgia State men's coach Ron Hunter says he doesn't think that's fair. He says he's posted in his bedroom and in the locker room a list of schools that wanted his team excluded.
Towson and North Carolina-Wilmington are already ineligible because of NCAA sanctions, so the tournament will include only 7 of the CAA's 11 teams.
Drexel was voted as the favorite to win the men's title at Tuesday's media day. Delaware is the top pick to defend the women's championship.
