DENTON, Md.- Police are looking for three suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred Thursday on the 600 block of the Caroline Apartments in Denton.
Denton police said that shortly before 1 a.m., a man was inside his home when he heard someone knocking on his door. The victim told police that when he opened the door, three unknown male suspects rushed inside. The victim further stated that he was held at gunpoint while the suspects ransacked the apartment. The victim then began to yell and attempted to flee the apartment. A neighbor heard the commotion and called 9-1-1.
The three suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled through a rear window. They were last seen heading into a nearby woods as police approached.
A search was conducted using a Federalsburg police K-9 and Maryland State Police helicopter but officers did not locate the suspects.
Police said the suspects were described as black, in their late 20s to early 30s and wearing dark pants. Their gun was described as a revolver.
