DOVER, Del.- A man is in critical but stable condition after he was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Dover.
According to the Dover Police Department, the man was walking westbound on Route 13 outside of the crosswalk on the north side of the intersection in front of the entrance to Delaware State University, shortly after 7 p.m. Police said that while walking, the man jumped into the far left lane to avoid being struck by a vehicle traveling in the center lane, and was subsequently hit by a different vehicle.
Police said the man suffered a head injury as well as a broken leg, broken ribs and bruised lungs, and is currently being treated at Christiana Hospital.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
