2 Shot in Apparent Robbery in Newark - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - Police in New Castle County say two people were shot during an apparent robbery attempt in Newark.

Police say they were called to the scene of the shootings around 8:08 p.m. Sunday. When police arrived they found a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. Police also learned that a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound was taken by car to a hospital.

Police say the shooting apparently happened during a robbery attempt as the two men were walking on Flamingo Drive in the area of Raven Turn.

Police are looking for two male suspects.
