








CHESTERTOWN, Md.- Julianna Fritzinger (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion Area), a freshman on the Washington College women's swim team, competed in the Age Group Sprint for 16-19 year old females at the Barfoot & Thompson World Triathlon Grand Final Monday morning in Auckland, New Zealand.
Fritzinger finished in 1:25.18, good for 38th of 45 competitors in her event. The sprint class of triathlons consists of a 750-meter (0.47 miles) swim, 20 kilometers (12 miles) of cycling, and a five-kilometer (3.1 miles) run, with two short transition periods between the swim and the cycling and the cycling and the run.
Fritzinger posted the 11th-fastest swim time of 11:38, the 40th-fastest cycling time of 42:13, and the 35th-fastest run time of 23:38.
