Springsteen to Appear at Obama Event in Va. - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP)- Rocker Bruce Springsteen is coming to Charlottesville to appear at a campaign event for President Barack Obama.

The Obama campaign says Springsteen will attend the Tuesday event at the nTelos Wireless Pavilion with local officials and volunteers. The doors open at 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public but tickets are required. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Obama for America offices in Charlottesville.

Springsteen also backed Obama in 2008. He campaigned for the Democrat in Ohio last week with former President Bill Clinton.
